Mo' Muscle Cars Newsletter
2012 Houston Autorama
Another year, another Houston Autorama. We had a great time this year displaying our work and talking to the people who came out to the show. We had a total of 13 cars in the show and two were headliners in seperate booths. It was great for our customers to win the awards. We just build the cars, they allow us to do so and they are the ones who truely deserve the credit.
Our awards included the prestigous CASI Cup, give by the owners of Championship Auto Shows who put on the Autorama for a 1957 Chevy that we built for a great customer of ours. They pick their favorite car of the show, one that they would like to bring home, and present it to the builder.
We also took home 3 Best in Class and 4 Outsanding in Class awards. There were many beautiful cars at the show, so we were happy to have our hard work recognized.
Check out the pics below of Mo' Muscle Cars from the 2012 Houston Autorama!!

This post is dedicated to Tim Meaux, the man who started Mo' Muscle Cars.
On October 2, 2011, it will be two years since we lost our founder, friend, and family member. Without his dedication and love for our trade, we would not be where we are today.
He allowed us to do what we love best; to build the meanest, highest quality Classic/Muscle Cars around.
He provided us with the facilities, the dedication, and commitment to develop Mo' Muscle Cars into one of the leading shops in the United States.
He was a good man, who had a heart for the underdog, was always fun to be around, and we miss him dearly. It only seems like yesterday when he was taken from us and since that moment and well into the future, we dedicate everything we do to him.
Tim Meaux: September 4, 1952- October 2, 2009
September 27, 2011. This post is dedicated to the owners of two cars that left the shop this week.
The first one is a 1970 Chevelle and the second one is a 1973 Camaro LT.
After being painted by another local shop, the 1970 Chevelle was delivered to our facility where a full assembly was started. Some work done included a omplete chassis build with a coil-over suspension, Vintage Air A/C, March pulleys, and a complete American Autowire custom harness. Congratulations to the owner!!
The second vehicle, a 1973 Camaro LT, received a full engine rebuild. During the rebuild, the engine bay received a complete repaint and detail. All brake lines were replaced with stainless steel piees and a full brake component replacement was done. Next, a complete interior overhaul was done, returning the car to all original LT specs. This car is special to us, as well as the owner, who remembers her father buying the car new. This is a common story we hear and sentimental value is always a great factor in a project.
Recently, Mo' Muscle Cars was selected by the Dodge headquarters in Detroit to paint 4 custom aluminum hoods with their latest advertisement slogans for the 2011 Charger and Challenger. All lettering on the hoods is custom painted to ensure the highest quality workmanship. It is an honor for us to complete this project and we look forward to seeing the hoods as they hang in the Dodge Headquarters. Mo' Muscle Cars would like to personally thank Dodge for keeping the Muscle Car spirit alive!
On November 18-21, 2010, Mo' Muscle Cars attended to 2010 Autorama. The show was a great success and we had a great time talking to previous, current, and future customers. Thank you for attending!!
Our display consisted of 4 Mo' Muscle Cars; a 1970 C-10 Chevy Short Bed, a 1968 Dodge Charger with a 426 Hemi, a 1938 Plymouth Coupe, and a matching number 63 Split-Window Corvette.
All of the cars, except the split-window are customer cars that we have done full restorations on. The 63 Split-Window was Tim Meaux's favorite personal car. Tim, who is the founder of Mo' Muscle Cars, passed away unexpectedly in October 2009. His picture accompanies his car. His passion for this business and his vision for Mo' Muscle Cars are things that we continue to follow now and into the future.
Here are some pictures from the 2010 Autorama. We have also included a picture of a 69 Trans-Am that was completely built by Mo' Muscle Cars. This car was on display in the Trans-Am section of the show.
On October 5, 2010, Mo' Muscle Cars was contacted by Lizard Skin to provide the facilities and manpower for a demonstration on the proper techniques for applying lizard skin insulation and sound control. This 67 Camaro received two coats of insulation and two coats of sound deadener. See the pictures below!
